Awesome sweater!
I love this short sleeve sweater! I hope Torrid makes more in new colors/patterns. I actually disagree with the reviews that says it runs small. I usually wear a 3 at Torrid, but I got a 2, and it is perfect. This is meant to be more fitted - not baggy. I got a lot of complements on it - including from my husband!

So many compliments
In my checkered era. I’ve always been a leopard/cheetah girly but lately I’ve been on the checkered trend and this top did not disappoint! I got it during a 50% off site sale and the girl in store price matched it for me! I usually buy a 0-1 in torrid tops but decided on a 0 bc that’s all they had left in store haha and it fits perfect. Not too snug or short. Just perfect. I’ve received so many compliments on it so decided I needed to review it. I live in CA so it’s perfect for days when it’s hot or cold haha. Anyways buy this if you’re thinking about it. It’s perfect

Checkerboard Sweater
I purchased the long sleeve version when it was colder weather. When I saw the short sleeve version, I had to get it. I don’t understand the bad reviews. I’m 5’7” and it comes right below my hips. I don’t think it runs small, I bought the same size in both sweaters. The sleeve length is perfect. It is a chunky knit.

I’m usually 00/0
The 00 I wear in Harper tops was snug in this one. I’m going one size up so it isn’t a second skin. But look nice, feels soft. It hits right at my hip bones, so tall girls might find this too short. I’m 5’

Had to get it!
I was so excited when I saw this go on sale, I have the long sleeve checker sweater from a few seasons ago and I love it, I’m so glad they put out a short sleeve version! I live in Florida and it doesn’t get cold often but when it does this will be perfect. It’s thick and cozy and will keep you warm!

Eye catching & classic!
I noticed the reviewer below me noted some flawed details on her sweater, but the sides of mine are perfect, & with a pair of Torrid black workwear pants this sweater looks amazing- both up close & far away!! I wore it today & received several compliments. Hopefully the sweater below was a limited error, & just wanted to say mine looks perfect, & I also wear a size 2🙂

Surprisingly cute!
I really like this sweater! Reading the reviews, I was very nervous about the length and tightness, I have a long torso and *hate* cropped everything. But surprisingly it works for me. I sized up (as I often do with tops) and tried it on with high waisted black pants. Very bold & fun look!

Adorable, and a great sta
Super cute and a great length, even for tall girls. I’m 5’10 and this hit right at the top of my hips. It’s a thick, slightly open-stitch. Very well made the only reason I gave it 4 stars is I don’t like that it accentuates my upper arms. The sleeve feels the ever so slightest tight.
Be careful of catching rings and finger nails in this material.

Looks sharp at a distance
Did not buy this but did try it on yesterday in-store. Online pic looks amazing… up close it’s got very big needlework stitches which I personally I don’t care for, looks kind of cheap. Length is perfect, not too long, not too cropped, true to fit, I’m 5’4.5” 227lbs wear 2. I can get past the big stitches bcz when someone looks at you from a distance this looks sharp. The sides of this is where Torrid made their mistake, instead of continuing the “block” pattern they left it in lines which makes a person look wider. A person’s arms being at their side will cover this but it looks like cheaply done when it cld have been over the top. Overall I would recommend this sweater bcz it does look sharp at a distance. Nice to see some good Autumn clothing coming into the store.
