Not a Skort!
SO HAPPY this is not a skort!!!! I saw it in stores today and immediately picked it up. I’m 5’3 and wear a size 2, it fits perfect. And it has pocketssssss which was an excellent surprise. I love the button front skirts. I got a brown one in this style last year and was a little sad the buttons up the front weren’t functional, but I think this makes up for it. Did I mention the pockets?!

Love it
I could tell it was a skirt from the photos and I wear mine under my chest so mine fit perfect. I don’t think this is made to be worn hip area and the buttons are fine they don’t unsnap for me so if you’re wearing this up high under chest then it should be fine to be at the size leggings you wear I should also mention I am short so this skirt isn’t to short for me. 5’2 size 3 Now it’s only pleated on the sides

Sweet SKIRT!
I know the description said "skort", but it looked like a skirt, and that's what I wanted, so I am thrilled with it (love skorts - have 18 summer ones at last count, but I can't wear them with pantyhose underneath in winter. The static is terrible!) The length is a little longer on me than the model, but I was counting on that (5'2"). I take a 3 in all Torrid skirts, and did in this one as well. As others have noted, there is no stretch, but the waist measurements are true to size. Colour is rich and fun, pockets are roomy. Absolutely love it on! The snap closure is very secure, too!

A cute skirt!
The reviews saying it’s not a skort are correct. That is what made me order. If you carry more weight in your stomach, size up. I wish they were actual buttons instead of snaps tho.

Cute but not a skort
I'm 5 ft 2 in and this comes down to my knees. I am a size 0 in bottoms, and it fits perfectly when I am standing but since the buttons are really snaps all the way down a 1 is perfect for sitting. Yes, I repeat the buttons are break away snaps. So you may want size up for sitting events.

Not a skort, still cute
Not a skort, which is why I bought this, but it is a cute mini skirt that’s a great length if you wear a tall inseam. It’s longer in the front and back, the pockets are nice and deep, and the elastic in the waist keeps it nice and snug. I won’t be keeping this (though I did consider taking it to a tailor and getting shorts added in), but I thought I’d let those interested in it know it’s a great length!

No skort still wonderful!
This is NOT a skort which is why I deducted a star. With that being said, I am in love!! I need this in more patterns & colors. The length is wonderful for a tall girly, finally! This is definitely going to be a staple in my closet this fall/winter.

skirt- design Choices?
This is NOT a bad review. I bought this skirt knowing it was a skirt and not a skort. I wear between a 2/3 at torrid 20/22 dress sizes.) I tend to size to a 3 because i like things a little loose and have a big chest.
The waist band is elastic in the back and flat in the front. It’s a flattering lay flat look. BUT the fabric used is non stretch and was cut flat with no bias at the back or extra fabric to accommodate the elastic. This means that while the waist Band stretches the fabric under it does not rendering the elastic useless. They could have just skipped the elastic and made it a flat band the entire way around.
The skirt also sits higher on the waist than anticipated but the pockets are legit and deep.
If you are between sizes I would size up especially if you are thicker in the tummy.

This was advertised as a skort which is why I bought it, but as many other reviewers have commented, it's a skirt. Fits true to size, has pockets and looks cute so I'll likely keep it anyways, please do better Torrid!
