Reminiscent of Rivendell
I saw this and it was immediate love! It reminded me of the moment when Bilbo, Gandalf, Frodo, and others finally arrived in Rivendell after journeying through that crazy, rocky, almost claustrophobic, cavernous area and emerge to the beauty that is Rivendell. Bilbo is of course awestruck by the intricate scroll carved beautifully crafted architecture of Rivendell that is also completely covered in vines. It’s like the highest level of architecture covered masterfully by a beautifully kept garden, and of course that strikes Bilbo straight to the center! The circular shape further remind me of the elvish crowns worn by those in Rivendell, again with its scrolls and vines. I loved the simplicity and understated theme of this LOTR shirt. Even better, I loved the ombre yellow to pink, giving this shirt a plethora of coordinating options. It’s my first slashed tee too, but I loved it so much I had to give it a try. I’m seriously considering buying a second in a size down for when this one is too big.
Here I am wearing it to the gym, under the glow of the total beauty angel red lights therapy pod. I paired it with hot pink workout leggings, and a tunic cami, all Torrid of course. The torrid leggings are a size 2, as those always run small, and my LOTR tee and cami are a size 1. I’m 5’7” for reference, and please excuse my post workout hair 😂. I love to wear workout leggings, a cami, an oversized or loose fit shirt to the gym. I also bought the 100% cotton LOTR Boxy tunic tee in botanical garden, but I skipped the boxy fit LOTR in blue with the ring on it because it wasn’t 100% cotton it felt a little too on the nose design wise for me personally. The only negative about this slashed LOTR tee is that it’s not 100% cotton, but it’s very soft and so cute I absolutely made an exception. Torrid, please make more understated but clearly LOTR style shirts like this one, make them 100% cotton, and please remember not all of us LOTR fans need a ring on it to feel like it’s LOTR.

I bought this a couple weeks ago. Soft, comfortable, and relaxed fit. If I bought it again I would size down one size. Super cute and I love it.

Long desired theme!
I love this shirt. I feel good when I wear it and it is the first LoTR shirt I have found in my size. I bought 2 sizes to make sure I was happy, and I am keeping both. I see other other reviews, and I don’t disagree that the design is the bare minimum LoTR but I still enjoy it. I have also purchased the other 2 shirts in an upcoming order.

Do better for LotR fans
I am an absolute lover of Torrid and Lord of the Rings. This shirt's design is just not good. A slashed tee, pinkish lettering and a random wreath... It's obvious your designers have never even seen the movies, let alone open anything written by Tolkien.... I'm really bummed. I've been waiting for a Torrid X Lord of the Rings tee shirt forever, and it looks like I will need to keep waiting because this shirt misses the mark. Please Torrid, come out with more LotR clothing items, but do better for your fans and Tolkien fans. I gave it 2 stars for being Lord of the Rings...
