My favorite shorts EVER!
I have been waiting for Torrid to bring back these Sateen shorts. I have been wondering why this year and last year the shorts were so awful. These are the BEST shorts you have ever sold. They can be dressed up or dressed down, but they withstand washes, wear and the ever changing trends. Please keep these shorts as a “torrid staple”. I bought 5 pairs of black shorts the day they went online and I will be buying more just in case you decide to stop selling the best pair of shorts source ever sold again. The sizing runs small. That is the only different from 2 years ago to now, so my only advice is to size up one size. These shorts used to be sold with a belt and they had way more stretch than these, but even with those modifications, these are the classiest, most comfortable shorts I’ve ever worn in my entire life. Please get more colors.

Not enough stretch
I'm usually between an 18 and 20, but I ordered the 20 and it was way too small. The waistband is narrow and it dug in in a weird place. Between where it hit me on the hips and the length, the cut was not at all flattering. I think if you have any belly then these are not the shorts for you. The material was nice quality and so was the print. I wish I could have made them work.

Not Flattering On Apple
I’m 5’7, 275lb apple body shaped. I typically wear a 4 in bottoms. The shorts are true to size, nice quality fabric, gorgeous print and comfortable. The problem for me is that they aren’t flattering and make me look bigger. They fit comfortably on the waist but aren’t form fitting the whole way down. From the waist to the thigh the fabric is at an angle (not fitted against the body) like an upside down triangle if that makes any sense. The legs weren’t baggy or tight, just somewhere in the middle. The length was perfect and they didn’t feel like they would ride up when walking or stick to your legs. In my opinion these would be really cute and comfortable for more of an hourglass/ pear shaped body.
